OSM Inspector is a debugging tool for OpenStreetMap data.

Nearest areas (nearest_areas)

All areas which have nodes or buildings with addresses next to them.

Nearest roads (nearest_roads)

All roads which have nodes or buildings with addresses next to them.

Connection lines (connection_lines)

Lines connecting a node or building with an address to the nearest point on the road given in the addr:street tag. These lines are not in the OSM database, they are computed automatically

Connection point on roads (nearest_points)

For every node or building with an address this is the nearest point on the corresponding road. These points are not in the OSM database, they are computed automatically.

House number interpolation lines (interpolation)

Lines between house number nodes to denote interpolation of missing house numbers between those nodes. Interpolation lines can be for even (two thin lines), odd (one thin line), or all housenumbers (one thick line).

Buildings (buildings)

Buildings (closed ways tagged building=yes) with or without addresses.

Buildings with addresses (buildings_with_addresses)

Buildings (closed ways tagged building=yes) with addresses.

Nodes with interpolated addresses (nodes_with_addresses_interpolated)

Virtual nodes with addresses computed from interpolation lines and their endpoints. These nodes are not in the OSM database.

Nodes with defined addresses (nodes_with_addresses_defined)

Nodes with addresses.

Ways tagged with postal_code (postal_code)

All ways which have a tag postal_code=*. (This is distinct from the addr:postcode tag used in the Karlsruhe schema.)

Entrances (entrances_old)

Nodes tagged as entrances using the old tagging scheme building=entrance.

Entrances (entrances)

Nodes tagged as entrances with entrance=...

Interpolation errors (interpolation_errors)

Errors on interpolation lines such as wrong endpoint numbers. If you zoom in far enough the lines are labelled with the error.

Tag addr:*=... on non-closed ways (addrx_on_nonclosed_way)

Ways which have a tag addr:*=... but are not closed ways.

No addr:street (no_addr_street)

Nodes without addr:street tag (but other addr:* tags).

Misformatted housenumber (misformatted_housenumber)

Nodes/ways with unexpected characters in addr:housenumber=...

Misformatted housenumber (lenient) (misformatted_housenumber_lenient)

Nodes/ways with unexpected characters in addr:housenumber=... (allow dashes and commas)

Street not found (street_not_found)

Nodes with defined addresses where the matching street couldn't be found, ie there is no road with that name inside an about 1km radius.

Place not found (place_not_found)

Nodes with defined addresses where the matching place couldn't be found, ie there is no place with that name inside an about 1km radius.
