Proposed MGP route (2)

Summary The dataset contains Revision 4.2 of the route for Mackenzie Gas Project (MGP). The dataset is formed of 6 separate 2D measured polylines: the Niglintgak lateral, Taglu lateral, Parsons Lake lateral, Storm Hills lateral (all forming the gathering system route) , NGL and the Mainline pipelines. Revision 4.2 of the MGP route is the outcome of the micro-routing studies. These studies recommended corrections to the REV.3 route and suggested alternate routes in order to improve the constructability of the pipeline and to assure that the pipeline is within the existing 1 km environmental corridor. Changes include: tie-in changes to facilities, four major re-routes, the start and end of the pipeline system, the intersection of Parson lake, Taglu and Storm Hill Laterals, re-routes at Gibson Gap location and 8 minor re-routes related to the environmental corridor extent. The dataset was developed as result of MGP route reconnaissance studies. The main objective of the creation of this dataset is to present a refined route for MGP that can be considered for further detailed engineering studies. Description The Mackenzie Gas Project has prepared this data as part of the 2006 Common Filing Basis. The feature(s) in this data appear on the 479-series maps (Rev.2) issued by MGP on February 15, 2006, and are the basis throughout the regulatory hearings in 2006. Until the Mackenzie Gas Project issues any updates, this data is to be considered current and must replace any earlier versions released by MGP. The present information shall be used only within the scope of the Mackenzie Valley Gas Project.
