Aboriginal and Inuit Owned Lands (0)
The Aboriginal Lands product consists of polygon entities that depict the administrative boundaries (extent) of lands where the title has been vested in specific Aboriginal Groups of Canada or lands which were set aside for their exclusive benefit. More specifically it includes the following lands: -Land Claim Settlement Lands - Lands created under Comprehensive Land Claims Process that do not or will not have Indian Reserve status under the Indian Act. They include: - Inuit Owned Lands (IOL) as defined in the Agreement between the Inuit of the Nunavut Settlement Area and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada given effect and declared valid by the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement Act. It includes all parcels that have been surveyed and those that do not require a survey (this includes the islands). Survey plans may not all be recorded in the CLSR at this time. Gwich'in Lands as defined in the Gwich'in Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement, given effect and declared valid by the Gwich'in Land Claim Settlement Act. Inuvialuit Lands as defined in the Western Arctic (Inuvialuit) Claims Settlement Act. Sahtu Lands as defined in The Sahtu Dene and Métis Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement given effect and declared valid by the Sahtu Dene and Métis Land Claim Settlement Act. All parcels are included but not all survey plans are recorded in the CLSR at this time. Tlicho lands, as defined in the Tlicho Agreement, given effect and declared valid by the Tlicho Land Claims and Self-Government Act.
Federally Managed Lands (1)
List of public lands and rights in respect of waters excluded from the administration and control of the Commissioner of the Northwest Territories. This dataset is a compilation of data acquired from several different Federal Departments. Those Departments include Natural Resources Canada - Canada Lands Digital Cadastral Data, Parks Canada and Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada,Transport Canada, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Public Works and Government Services Canada, Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), Canada Post Corporation, Environment Canada, Atomic Energy Canada, DND. Conservation/Protected Areas (2)
New feature class structure to capture areas that limit the ability to dispose of the land (surface or subsurface). There are three related feature classes depending on the type/amount and source of restriction. The definitions below should help determine which feature class to use. The shapes in these feature classes are in the process of being QC'd by the withdrawals working group and will be updated when QC is complete. All attribute information in these feature classes come directly from Commissioner's Order (or other legislation). Commissioner's Orders have registration numbers that start with R-, Other numbers in that field may refer to Order in Councils (OIC) from federal government.Withdrawn lands – registered Commissioner's Order where the land is withdrawn from use either/both surface and subsurface, both permanent and temporary where GNWT is prohibited from disposing of the land.Regulated areas – potential restrictions to development/access due to various legislations (multiple government levels) on lands partially or wholly managed by GNWT (ex. territorial parks, migratory bird sanctuaries, Mackenzie bison sanctuary).Conservation areas – complete restriction to development/access but not through Commissioner's Order, instead with some other form of legislation/agreement (multiple government levels) for the purpose of protection or conservation (ex. land use plan protected areas, marine protected areas) on lands partially or wholly managed by GNWT.

This layer represents all easements that have been legally surveyed.
Surveyed Parcels (18)
This layer represents all parcels that have been legally surveyed, excluding easements. Surveyed roads and Hinterland parcels are mapped in this layer as well as all lots in the communities. Each parcel is identified with a Lot, Block and Plan number and is symbolized with a thick black outline.
Condominium Units (19)
This layer shows condominium units that have been defined by a Condominium Survey registered at the Land Titles Office.
