EMODnet Physics DB of the High Frequency Radars (emodnet:EP_PLATFORMS_HFR)

EMODnet Physics DB of the High Frequency Radars. High frequency radar is a land station used to measure surface current velocity fields near the coast. The resulting surface plots provide a much higher resolution in space than previous techniques like current meter arrays. With a HF-radar system an entire current field maps (i.e. sea water velocity (m/s) and direction of sea water velocity (degrees)) can be generated in near real time.

EMODnet Physics - DB of the ARGO Buoys in EMODnet Physics - TrajectoryObservation (emodnet:EP_GEO_INT_TEMP_AR_PP_GLO)

EMODnet Physics DB of the ARGO. Argo is a global array of 3,800 free-drifting profiling floats that measures the temperature and salinity of the upper 2000 m of the ocean. This allows, for the first time, continuous monitoring of the temperature, salinity, and velocity of the upper ocean, with all data being relayed and made publicly available within hours after collection (http://www.argo.ucsd.edu/)

EMODnet Physics - Impulsive Noise events Registry Pulse Days - GridSeriesObservation - Data supplied by contracting parties to OSPAR (North East Atlantic), HELCOM (Baltic Sea), and Barcelona and ACCOBAMS (Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea). The data are collated nationally from registers of licenced events such as pile driving, controlled explosions from naval operations and other activities that release energy. This registry is specifically purposed with supporting OSPAR and HELCOM in providing information that will feed their regional assessments, and in reporting by its contracting parties to MSFD descriptor 11.1.1 (Low and mid frequency impulsive noise). HELCOM and OSPAR impulsive noise events registry is hosted and managed by ICES (http://ices.dk/marine-data/data-portals/Pages/underwater-noise.aspx) (emodnet:EP_GEO_INT_UWNO_XX_PD_INR)

This product integrates the Impulsive Noise Registries of the European Sea Regional Conventions: OSPAR (North East Atlantic), HELCOM (Baltic Sea), and Barcelona and ACCOBAMS (Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea). Data (pulse block - days) is presented in an harmonized grid (10' latitude x 20' longitude grid). This registry is purposed with supporting SRCs in providing information that will feed their regional assessments, and in reporting by its contracting parties to MSFD descriptor 11.1.1 (Low and mid frequency impulsive noise). Impulsive noise events are collected nationally and integrated at SRC level. ICES (https://underwaternoise.ices.dk/map.aspx)is hosting OSPAR and HELCOM registries. Mediterranean data are integrated from the ACCOBAMS demonstrator (http://accobams.noiseregister.org/).

EMODnet Physics - DB of the FerryBox in EMODnet Physics - TrajectoryObservation (emodnet:EP_GEO_INT_ALLP_FB_PP_GLO)

EMODnet Physics DB of the FerryBox systems. Global collection. A FerryBox system consists of a water inlet from which seawater is pumped into the measuring circuit containing multiple sensors. This inlet may be positioned at the sea-chest or through the hull of the ship, using a valve especially designed for the FerryBox purposes.

route_ap_temp_7d_3031 (emodnet:route_ap_temp_7d_3031)

EMODnet Physics DB of all stations in the PSMSL database (emodnet:EP_PSMSL_STATIONS_DB)

This product shows the locations of all stations in the PSMSL database (approximately 2000) for which monthly and annual mean sea level information is available. However, many stations have historically only been measured for some months or years. The geographical distribution of longer RLR records contains significant geographical bias towards the Northern Hemisphere (Europe, Japan and USA). Additionally tide gauge records do not cover the same time period
