These include Standing Rock Rural Water, Fort Berthold Rural Water, Belcourt Public Utilities, and Spirit Lake Rural Water. The boundaries are only a representation of a general area served, not referenced to any scale, and may be overlaying with other areas serving water users.

Additionally, a portion of the Southwest Water Pipeline Project (SWPP) overlaps WAWS in southeast McKenzie County as it is currently the only service provider in the area. The Southwest Water Pipeline Project service area delineations were obtained from Bartlett & West Engineering and combined with the State Water Commissions boundaries/service areas for the Northwest Area Water Supply system
