This map enables the user to view, select and display information on the ecological and chemical status of natural surface water bodies as reported under the Article 13 of the Water Framework Directive (WFD). The data can be viewed as pie charts, showing the statistics of ecological status aggregated at the Member State´s level or alternatively at River Basin District level. Furthermore the ecological status can be viewed in detail at water body level. Data are derived from the EU27 WFD database. The user is able to specify the geographical area and water bodies in which he is interested by making selections from the map and from lists.
